On The Avenue: Matt is Back
This week On The Avenue we have an exciting surprise! The Matt Show is back with a Season 2! Matt and his team have poured their time and love into this second season, and we’re getting things kicked off with a few words from the man himself and a special sneak peek into the upcoming season. Check out what Matt had to say about how we got here.
What are you most excited about in Season 2?
“I’m excited that this show, that really just started as a fun idea has grown and expanded so much, and now we’re in the second season. I’m excited to help tell other people’s story, and what they do because it’s something really interesting. You know, it’s not necessarily about what topic I chose, it’s about the guest showing the audience things that they haven’t seen. We’re telling cool stories in Season 2 and that’s really exciting for me.”
What’s the biggest change from Season 1?
“Well, I don’t want to spoil too much, but in Season 1 we were trying to find our footing. We have expanded a lot in Season 2. Season2 is going to be out there… Really out there bro.”
How do you feel Season 1 helped shape the new direction you’ve taken in Season 2?
“Season 1 was mostly us trying to figure everything out here in the office. In Season 2, the writing process, the prep, it took a long time and I really prepared in a new way. It has taken a long time to get to this point. There’s been a lot of changes, and I have learned and grown a lot. I took what we did in Season 1 and learned how I can be a better leader. It helped me build my confidence. I can admit that there were times when I didn’t think I could lead, but now I’m here, and I’m doing a great job at this, and I’m proud of that. My point is that this whole thing has helped me grow and I’m really excited for other people to see what comes out in Season 2.”
Can we get a hint about Season 1?
“I will tell you… I MIGHT have a new toy… Keep your eyes on the sky.”
What do you want us to take away from watching The Matt Show?
“I just want the audience to learn something new. I want them to enjoy the funny times, and I just want to put a smile on their face. I hope I can show them something they might want to do, and maybe they just didn’t know how to get started, and I can help give them an answer. I just want to help other people at the end of the day.”
