On The Avenue: Meet Erika

This week On The Avenue I’m going to introduce you to another member of our Westwood/Woodard team! Erika Attwater is quick witted, outspoken, and crazy good at what she does. She takes care of our finances here, which means that she gives us all our paychecks, which means that we all really like her. I sat down with her this week to see if we could all get to know her a bit better.

How did you meet Tom?

“I met Tom through a mutual friend/colleague, and I’ve worked for him for about a year now.”

How long have you lived in Nashville?

“I moved to Nashville in May of 2012, so it’s been about 6 years now. I moved here because life haha. That’s my short answer, but I was in the music business for a long time so that was part of it too.”

What do you like about being our finance manager?

“Well I’m the finance manager for both Westwood Avenue and Woodard Bros. Ultimately, I love Tom’s visions for both companies and what he’s striving for. Both the heart on the Woodard side, plus the creativity on the Westwood side. What I really like about my job though is that I’m able to give people what they need in order to do their jobs better. So ultimately, we’re all here because this is our livelihood and we want to make money and be successful, but there’s also the heart aspect, which plays a big role. My motivation is to be able to provide information that tells us how we fund not only ourselves, but also how we fund projects that are bigger than us.”

Give me one fun fact.

“I am the oldest of 9 kids, and I have 2 brand new nephews that I’m obsessed with.”

What is something you would rate 10/10?

“Well Jenna stole my answer! I want to say my 2 nephews because I love being an auntie. But let’s see, what else? Can I say Timothée Chalamet? (Yes girl. Yes you can.) Timothée Chalamet from Call Me By Your Name. I’m obsessed with him.”

What was your high school superlative?

“Well I actually left high school my senior year, so I missed that train. I did independent studies so that I could focus on music.”

Speaking of her music, check out the video below of her live performance while opening for WILLIE NELSON (Insane is it not???) at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga.

You can always find a hidden talent here On The Avenue. Thank you for checking in with us, and don’t forget to come back and visit next week!
