This review is on the sci-fi space action adventure Star Trek Beyond. In this latest Star Trek film from producer J.J. Abrams (who directed 2009’s Star Trek and the 2013 follow-up Star Trek Into Darkness) and director Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 3,4,5,6 and 9), Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Commander Spock (Zachary Quinto), and the crew of the Starship Enterprise are in the midst of their 5 year mission exploring deep space. Then they receive a call to assist in a rescue mission. But it turns out to be a trap set by a dangerous unknown enemy known as Krall (Idris Elba), which leads to a devastating attack on the Enterprise, causing the ship and crew to crash land on an unknown planet. With the help of a new ally named Jaylah, the crew must come together to find a way to get off the planet and stop Krall from destroying the Federation. My thoughts on Star Trek Beyond is that it is a really good sci-fi action adventure film, just as good as the previous 2 Star Trek Films. It has cool action and special effects and the returning cast playing the Enterprise crew continue to impress. This would be for you if you’re a fan of Star Trek, the sci-fi adventure series that boldly goes where no one has gone before.
